I must say remakes are cool though. It sometimes show you a different perspective from the original movie that makes you understand more. Especially those horror remakes like The Grudge and The Uninvited. The Asian horror films are confusing at times because they never give enough details. They also never really tell what happens at the end, leaving you more confused and guessing. But that's what makes them so popular. I would also have to say that when American people remake films, sometimes they make it so bad that people criticize it a lot. When people watched films that have been remake, they like to see similarities to the original. Some remakes are not even close to the original, making people wonder why Americans even did it in the first place. I would like to see a movie remake that follows the storyline. Most remakes add more parts to their movies or they switched it around. In the horror remakes, I see that they have more dramatic music so you get scared easily but I think they need to work on the effects because they're not scary enough for me. Remake films make a lot of money because people want to see why they're so good to have to be made in the United States also. Some remake films even have famous celebrities as the main characters. That's what make them even more known.
To me, I still like all the originals better than the remakes. I think you can never compete with the originals because they're unique. Remaking them just makes them more known and it shows you differently how people all around the world make their films. Not every remake is going to be good, but I see some that are worthy to watch. I still love remakes and I would want to watch more when they come out.
