American Rescue Workers Thrift Store

This store sits right on the corner of Troy street and east main street.

The best way to recycle is reuse.

The hours are 9 am to 5 pm Monday thru Saturday.

The staff consists of the manager and 2 part time employees , and volunteers.

The store receives merchandise on Fridays and puts new items out daily if the sales people aren't busy waiting on customers they are busy stocking shelves and clothing racks.

The store also takes donations please make sure the items are clean. It isn't a donation if they have to pay to have your items disposed of.

The store also has a clearance rack wear most items are $1.00 but some are a little higher.

What kind of exciting things do they have . Well Tilt teen jeans $8.00 , new gap black ladies dress pants $6.00 , plus size blazers and dress shirts $6.00-$8.00. I even saw an original pair of Woolrich pants , an old green army cot. Oh and so many wonderful Christmas things this time of year even beautiful assembled faux Christmas trees.

The book section is my favorite. I can always find a good book. They have non fiction , fiction , inspirational , reference , children's , history , baby. I just love the fact new product comes out daily.

To be a great thrift store shopper you need to be in a non hurry and browse through everything. You just never know what kind of treasure you will find. The name brand products and new products that are donated amaze me. I recently found a brand new Flannel shirt for my husband for only $5.00.

My niece gets almost all of her play clothes on the $1.00 rack and her school clothes and church clothes from the regular racks.

So the next time you are in Canton stop into the thrift store and say hi to the girls and look through the treasures the American Rescue Workers thrift store has to offer.
