American Standard Reliant Pull Out Faucet Product Review

Coffee Obsession Makes This Faucet Practical, Escutian Plate Aesthetically Appealing

Kay Balbi
During the remodel of our kitchen, there were all kinds of things to consider: cabinets, counter-tops, lighting, appliances, hardware for the cupboards, flooring, the kitchen sink and finally, the faucet.

In my house, we drink coffee like it is going out of style. In fact, making coffee is the first thing we do when we wake up in the morning. If we're home, there is usually another pot brewing by noon, another by three, another by six and another by nine. I'm not kidding when I say we live on the stuff.

I can't tell you how many times you would hear expletives out of our mouths as we got the brew going. Before we bought out American Standard Reliant Pull Out Faucet I hated making coffee.

It seems that every coffee maker we purchased required the user to fill the reservoir with water before brewing. I don't know how many times I went too fast, or over filled the coffee maker dumping water all over the counter.

Well, with my new pull-out American Standard faucet gadget (or any hose attachment), you can pull the end of the faucet towards the carafe, and not have to worry about spilling water over the counter!

If you haven't figured out by now, I'm pleased by the simple things in life. The pull out faucet is definitely the way you should go if you don't like making messes in your kitchen. I have to say it is one of the most useful gadgets I own.

Price:

For around $140 plus shipping I thought that this faucet was worth the price considering I was driving myself nuts making a mess with my coffeepot every day.

Other considerations:

I should warn you that the faucet comes with a re-stricter that reduces hot water usage. This is great if you are worried about children getting burned, or are trying to cut back on expenses, going green reducing hot water usage.

This faucet also comes with an optional Escutcheon plate, which is the decorative plate that covers the base of the faucet that goes through the sink or counter-top connecting to the plumbing.
