They claim that "God himself is America's Terrorist." They are also picketing the funerals of our fallen soldiers and causing tremendous pain to the family of these heros. The whole idea behind this nonsense is that because we allow homosexuality in America, God has irreversibly cursed us.
I just have to ask - WHAT??
They recently tried to picket a funeral in a small community here in Tennessee, only to find that we do not approve of such things. Because of the added security and forces available to protect this soldier's family and friends, the picketers were forced to take their nonsense up the road, to the next town. We will not stand for our troops and their families to be mistreated and harassed!
I just have to wonder what God these people claim to love and serve. I wonder what God says it's ok to call people crude names and show so much hate for an individual. The use of the word "fag" is ever present in the communication from these people. It should never be acceptable to call people harsh names and to recruit hate, just because you don't particularly agree with that person's way of life. My bible says to "love your enemy" - Matt. 5:44.
And to state that God is the reason for our country's turmoil and for the deaths of these heroic men and women is just plain Wrong! God is NOT America's terrorist, although I do have to wonder about Westboro Baptist Church.
It should never be ok to use religion as a means of spreading hate messages. It should never be ok to cause added pain and suffering to someone who is dealing with the death of a loved one. AND it should NEVER be ok to try to recruit people against God! or against anyone for that matter. So you don't agree with the concept of homosexuality, many people don't. It is not up to you to judge these people and to spread hate messages against them. Love them, pray for them, don't try to turn people against them by stating that they're the reason God is against America. Which, by the way, he is NOT. I personally do not agree with the war in Iraq. I do not agree with our soldiers being killed. However, I do agree that we as a nation must stand together and support our troops and their families, and not try to turn them against each other and against God.
Leave our families alone and let them grieve. Leave these poor soldiers alone and let them have the memorial that they deserve. Leave our communities alone and let us love our God. As a matter of fact, leave Kansas. Move to the desert where the temperatures are very high. You'll want to get used to the HOT climate.

Post a CommentWhat kind of person does it take to actually have the nerve to picket someones funeral? I am so disgusted and i cant believe i didnt know about this. how awful.
I think that the people from this so called church are no more than a cult. I do not believe they are Christian, and I do believe they have and will keep many from even wanting to ever become a real Christian because people may assume that the represent the majority of Christians when they do not.
I have heard about this group several times I think they are too full of hate to be doing God work at all, because the Bible says God is Love, not God is hate and do likewise.
I just don't understand people like this.
I think all the soldiers and their families should recieve our support.

I am thankful for the prayers of the majoity of Christian churches who PRAY FOR OUR SOLIDERS and support them and their families even though they may be against the war. PROUD MARINE MOM!
This article really hits home. Especially for all OUR soldiers out there. We need to keep GOD in this war and maybe we can come home safe.
