America's Got Talent Finalists and Winner Determined Tonight (AGT 2010)

Will Prince Poppycock Make it to the Final Two?

Meg G.
America's Got Talent finalists and winner are determined tonight, as Prince Poppycock, Jackie Evancho, Michael Grimm, and Fighting Gravity face off. AGT 2010 has been a hoot with celebrity judges Howie Mandel, Sharon Osbourne, and Piers Morgan. We all know that Piers Morgan will be replacing Larry King eventually on the famed Larry King Live time slot, and have yet to find out if the next season of AGT will bear this Brit's antics.

The true match is between Prince Poppycock and Jackie Evancho. Now, my vote goes to Prince Poppycock because he seems more of what I would go see in Las Vegas over a 10 year old opera star. However - that's not because I don't like Jackie Evancho. I think she's a doll and she's got a superb voice. I also have a feeling that she has not gone unnoticed, and even if she doesn't win this thing she will go on to do great things.

However, one blog posts notes that they don't think that Poppycock will be in the final two based on last night's performance. He's an opera singer - much like Evancho, but he usually has sassiness and irony drenched in his performances. His song was sad and heavy, and was sang without a tweak of change. However, how could you ignore his costumes? That's what really strikes me.

The post reads: "Prince Poppycock sang Puccini's "Nessun Dorma" beautifully last night despite clearly having some technical difficulties with his ear pieces. His costumes and set pieces were as spectacular as per usual. However, I have my doubts that Poppycock -- my personal favorite -- will be in the final two based on last night's performance. Perhaps it was because he sang a classical opera piece without a stitch of irony, perhaps it was because the classical opera piece he sang was sad and heavy. Whatever it was, last night's act lacked the subversiveness and sassiness of his earlier performances, and I'm afraid it will be overlooked by the voters."

Jackie Evancho sang "Ave Maria" flawlessly, and I would bet my paycheck she will be in the final two tonight.

Michael Grimm's rendition of "When a Man Loves a Woman" was the perfect blend of blues and soul that we have come to expect from this contender. Some say he's got a clear shot into the top two slots.

Will tonight's finale of America's Got Talent 2010 evoke a surprising twist of events? Will there be a shocker - the most shocking thing to happen would for Jackie Evancho not to make it to the final two. However, all four acts have great talent, and hopefully people recognize this even if they don't go on to become winners.

Prince Poppoycock and Michael Grimm already have websites, Jackie Evancho is amazing, but only 10-so my votes go to Fighting Gravity. With the right guidance, they should all have long careers.

Michael Grim mwas my pick the first time he auditioned for agt, i heard his voice and my daughter and I decided tha the would win, I knew Carrie underwood would win when she performed, Michael Grimm gae me gooebumps tonite and i dont like Bolton songs... he has a feel to him that can suit most people, I honestly think he will win with prince poppy cock in second place. The litle angel is adorable and very talented, but as she gets older her voice will change, for the beter we hope. Fighting gravity is doing a talent that can be found all over youtube, usually by some asian kids in china or japan.... its not new nor is it fresh, it is new to agt, but i dont think itl be good enough.

This isn't about picking the next Vegas act. The winner does not get a Vegas contract automatically. They get headliner bill in the 25 city AGT tour of the top ten performers, and it ends in Vegas - for ONE performance.

Jackie, PP and Fighting Gravity have all reportedly gotten Vegas show offers.

Michael Grimm should be the winner he has an amazing vioce and the looks to go with it. Jackie is good but she is only a child and has plenty of time to grow up to be the singer she can be.

Um...hello! Are you people crazy...where is Fighting Gravity in all of this? Sorry but they are the best Vegas act...Jackie needs to go on Broadway...not be next to a casino or a strip club

There should be levels to the show age 0 - 12, ages 13 - 19 age 20 - 100. This would make the show easier to judge.

Look, we all know America likes to vote for novelty & Jackie is that novelty. Not that I don't think she is good, but she has got years to get better ahead of her. Prince Poppycock is certainly entertaining, but I would rather be listened to Michael Grimm anytime, any day.
