"America's Got Talent": and the Winner Is...Landau Eugene Murphy, Jr

Sandy James

America had a tough decision to choose only one contestant from "America's Got Talent" four finalists, but the votes were in and Landau Eugene Murphy, Jr. won the top spot. His incredible story from a homeless man to washing cars to a millionaire is heartwarming and inspiring. His life will never be the same again.

Last night's season finale of "America's Got Talent" was the best one yet. The show was filled with star-studded celebrities and performances by the final four contestants. It was a great evening of entertainment that was enjoyed by all. Celebrities on the show included Def Leppard, Stevie Wonder, Patti LaBelle, One Republic, Tony Bennett, Queen Latifah, Cirque de Soleil, and Jackie Evancho.

Landau Eugene Murphy, Jr. is the winner of one million dollars and he will headline an act at Caesar's Palace with host Jerry Springer on October 28th. In fact, all four finalists will be there performing along with last year's winner, Michael Grimm. If you can make it to Las Vegas for the show, it should be fantastic.

The four finalists performed last night with one of their favorite celebrities. Landau Eugene Murphy, Jr. began with his favorite, Patti LaBelle. LaBelle graciously handed the stage over to Murphy telling him to go take a bow and she exited the stage so that Murphy could get the applause. Team iLuminate performed quite an act with Cobra Starship, singing their new release, "You Make Me Feel..." from their Nightshades album. The Silhouettes performed behind the singing superstar Leann Rimes as she sang her new release, "Give," and Poplyfe sang "Higher Ground" with the legendary Stevie Wonder which had the audience on their feet.

Coming in second place after Landau Eugene Murphy, Jr. was the unique talents of the Silhouettes. Third place went to Team iLuminate and Poplyfe took fourth place.

This season's finale was the best "America's Got Talent" and even judges agreed with that. Auditions are now being accepted for next season and if you've got what it takes to be the next millionaire on "America's Got Talent," just go to AMG for more information.
