America's Innocence is Lost

How does one know when innocence is lost? Is it an obvious change or it is a gradual difference? Major transition is coming to the United States of America. One doesn't need to be a rocket scientist to see the foundation of the US immensely crumbled. There is something amiss in our country. When our nation finally decides to read the handwriting on the wall judgment will already be rendered.

Let's take a look at recent headlines during the month of September:

· Oil at a New Records for 7^th Straight Day

· Dollar Hits New Low Against Euro

· Sheikdom Shakedown: Dubai Moves on Nasdaq

· Abu Dhabi takes Ownership Stake in Carlyle Group

· Canadian Currency Same Value as US Dollar

These headlines reflect three important resources used to keep our society running smoothly: the value of the U.S. dollar, major business corporation, and of course, OIL. Has our nation reached a point of no return? In a way our prosperity has made us a very spoiled nation. And, the more we are able to provide for ourselves, the less we tend to rely on the Lord. Society has proudly stripped our nation of the Ten Commandments, and prayer in school, but allows foreign dignitaries to pray to their god(s) on the U.S. Senate floor. The senators who condoned such an atrocity are the same senators who will be crying out, "How could God let this happen?" when the next terrorist strike occurs.

The remnants of people who believe in the God of Israel are commissioned to pray for our nation while the elected leaders joyfully take part in the moral decline of America. The United States is speeding uncontrollably away from the great nation it once was. The scary part is that there are no brakes to stop us. Currently, the Bush administration is forcing Israel to give up a portion of Jerusalem to the Palestinians for "world peace." Bush's idea would be great if it didn't go contrary to the Word of God.

In Zechariah 12: 2-4, the prophet foretold:

"Behold, I am about to make Jerusalem a cup or bowl of reeling to all the peoples round about, and in the siege against Jerusalem will there also be a siege against and upon Judah.

And in that day I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all peoples; all who lift it or burden themselves with it shall be sorely wounded. And all the nations of the earth shall come and gather together against it.

In that day, says the Lord, I will smite every horse [of the armies that contend against Jerusalem] with terror and panic and his rider with madness; and I will open My eyes and regard with favor the house of Judah and will smite every horse of the opposing nations with blindness (AMP)."

With all the issues plaguing our country- the declining dollar, record breaking oil prices, and the instability of the market, it's no question that God's judgment on the United States for meddling with Jerusalem will bring our nation to the point of no return. Life as Americans know it will be changed forever. Our innocence is gone.
