America's Judeo-Christian Foundation: NOT
This is blatant deception, ignorance and historical revisionism at it's most malignant.
First, America was founded on the genocide of the native peoples, imperialism and colonization however, religious freedom was a direct result of the British Empire deporting their Christian Puritan population to the penal colony of North America; the Puritans were seen as religious fanatics (*cough, cough*) and the Empire wanted to be rid of them as a galvanizing force threatening their hierarchy so the British shipped the Puritans to the United States.
Second, when Jews began immigrating to the USA they were treated as pariahs, third rate citizens who were regularly denied jobs, home and land ownership and discriminated against for not being Christian, still branded as Christ Killers; most Jews in America lived two lives, a public one where they pretended to be Christians and a private one where they practiced their Judaic faith. Jews changed their names to sound generically protestant, lied about their familial and ancestral history and lived lives of deception and fear of American Christians.
Jews helped finance the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960's to give their own communities equality and freedom from persecution.
Then the Zionist movement which picked up steam in earnest in the 1970's with well placed pro-Israeli Jews in the White House, the Republican Party and an espionage campaign to encourage and organize the Baptists/Evangelicals into mouth frothing Zionists that took complete control of American Foreign Policy in the Middle East, all media information about that region and bully academia into submitting to the Zionist re-writing of history and political discourse. This was done via espionage aswell: www.campuswatch.com , AIPAC, JDL,ADL etcetera.
America was not, never has been and will never have been 'founded on Judeo-Christian values'; that is another lie by a very well funded, malicious and highly organized pro-Israeli/Zionist machine.
I wonder why the second rate 'journalists' in America never question any of the lies, historical re-writing and revisionism by politicians, pundits and Zionists like McCain?

Whether it's the body of lies regarding Israel or Iraq or voting records or contained in political ads, there needs to be a swell of disgust and outrage from the American people as your entire nation and society is being devoured by lies and deception.

Our Constitution is a Biblically based document. It is certainly about as far from Godless as one can make it. Political analysts have actually studies the original writings and texts from when our country was founded. This was something you failed to do, so let me help you out and give you examples. The researchers analyzed 15,000 writings from our founding fathers, identifying 3,154 direct quotes and then sourced them. The Bible turned out to be the most quoted from by the founding fathers. In fact, a whopping 34% of quotes were from the Bible, a percentage almost 4 times higher than the second most quoted source. The US was founded primarily for the allowance of economic freedom. A land cannot have economic freedom if the leaders of the country are bound to any certain religion. Jews were (and are again) being treated as second class citizens, if not yet in deed but in thought. Catholics, early on, the same, except where they has some refuge in Maryland. No state religion was urged by the Jefferson and others to facilitate economic freedom, without which there is no freedom. It just so happened that early arrivals were Christens. Had they been other religions there would probably have been a majority of them and they would view the US as a, say, Hindu nation.
Sorry RJT...I appreciate you opinion, but I see nothing in this piece to substantiate your claims. I don't care which side you're on, or who you're voting for, the overall disrespect for good journalism on AC has to stop. I know because I've made the same mistake myself on many occasions. When you state something as fact, cite sources to back it up. If you can't do that, publish your piece in the Op/Ed category which is pretty much an anything goes deposit box. AC has a horrid reputation as being nothing more than a blog and this is why. If it's opinion, post it as such. If it's history, back it up with facts. What you write does matter and it makes a big difference to the future of AC.
