America's Next Top Model

Why Danielle Should Have Won the Prize

ANTM introduces young women from all walks of life. For me, cycle 6 was one of the most competitive; because several of the girls maintained stunning photos and fierce runway walks from day one. The final three were extremely different and possessed different strengths and weaknesses. Joanie was the shy girl with the once awkward smile who found it hard to adapt to her new and improved grill. Danielle was the country girl with the southern accent who didn't quite understand how to separate her roots from the competition…understandably so. Last and certainly on my least favorite list, Jade was the "undiscovered super-model" with the personality of a serpent. In fact, Jade managed to hiss her way right out of the competition.

One should realize that, when it's all said and done; personality has to outweigh beauty on some level. How could the title of America's Next Top Model possibly rest in the hands of someone who knew more than the judge's, was always right and created constant chaos amongst her peers? Be it far from me to be too judgmental of anyone but I really felt that Jade became her own worst enemy. A little sweetness would have gone a long way.

Though I was impressed with both Joanie and Danielle, I was excited about the final outcome. Danielle seemed to have the more commanding presence, most down-to-earth personality and was definitely a natural beauty, inside and out. I was also really touched by her connection to her mom and the effect it had on her overall fight to become America's Next Top Model.
