Whitney Thompson, 20 year old student, from Atlantic Beach, Florida won the title of "America's Next Top Model". She was considered to be plus-sized or "full figured". Actually she just looks healthy. I hate to see the models that are skin and bones who don't work out and their meat, skin and body parts just hang on them.
Yahoo! TV website has the pictures of Whitney Thompson that helped her become "America's Nest Top Model". I didn't see anything spectacular out of the photos except for the first one that she is in white. In fact there were two photos that I thought she didn't look good in at all. One was for lingerie and her hair was tied in a pig tail. They really do need to do something with her hair. I didn't like that look at all. The second picture her hair was still dark and she had on a black top and jeans. The shoes did absolutely nothing for her. In fact they actually made her look big. This is one of her first pictures and it shows although her face made her stand out.
America's Next Top Model, Whitney Thompson will receive from Seventeen magazine a cover and a six-page spread in their magazine, a $100,000 contract with Cover Girl cosmetics and representation provided by Elite Model Management. Whitney Thompson had said she wanted other American women to feel good about themselves.
I think this young lady has looks that is beyond skin deep and she should use them to make a statement. I hope this is the start of how models will look in the near future. I know the trends change and it's about time. Maybe the new plus size models will actually be plus size. Maybe a proportioned size 18 or size 20 will start modeling the "big people" clothing. I am always amused at little models trying to sell plus size clothing when you know darn well the clothes won't actually look like that on you.
