America's Next Top Model Sends Bianca Home

You Wanna Be on Top?

America's Next Top Model really is an interesting show. Tyra Banks pushes potential models to the limit in endless challenges. ANTM features regular girls, who get picked for their not so regular looks. We see them compete in beauty challenges, photo shoots, and somehow their personalities, and sometimes lack there of, are revealed for America to see.

In tonight's ANTM titled "Tyra, Take My Photo!", 13 girls compete in a photo challenge with, you guessed it, Tyra taking their photos. Each girl was uniquely wrapped in scarves, some in their hair, across the face, or casually draped across them.

As a reminder: last week's bottom 2 was Brittany and Lulu, and Lulu was sent home.

Today the girls were wrapped in scarves for their own photo shoot with Tyra, then they competed in a Walmart challenge where they raced across the store to find the perfect look for go sees. Nigel Barker, and his wife, Crissy Barker, a Cover Girl Representative, showed the girls what was expected. They were to achieve the perfect look in a race across the store. The 13 potential models were supposed to hit four departments of Walmart: clothes, shoes, makeup, and then find their photo in the photo center, which all the girls had a problem finding. The catch was that the four stations would not have enough for 13, meaning that at each station those arriving a second late would be eliminated from the Walmart perfect look challenge. At each station or department, another girl was eliminated from that particular challenge. First to be eliminated from the Walmart challenge was: Laura (in clothing department), Nicole (shoes), Jennifer (shoes), Rae (makeup), Brittany (makeup), and then Ashley in the photo department. Unfortunately for Ashley, Erin threw her photo on the ground, so she was last to find her photo and was eliminated from the Walmart challenge.

In the end of the Walmart challenge the three to make it to the finish line was Erin (who pushed everyone to get there), Bianca, and Sundai. The goal was not to just make it to the finish line, but to create the perfect look. Nigel and Crissy told Erin that her look was too bland, Bianca's used too much face coverage, and Sundai was told that her cheeks were beautiful but that she did not have enough gloss. In the end the winner of the Walmart challenge was Sundai, a much deserved win might I add.

After that the girls took part in the photo shoot where they focused on beauty in the face. Each of the 13 girls were photographed by Tyra, with vibrant scarves on. It was announced that the girl with the strongest photo would be safe from elimination. This would also be the first time that the girls would do a photo shoot and then an immediate winner would be named. Jason Stanton was the hair stylist for this shoot with makeup by Sam Fine, who has worked with the likes of Iman and Tyra. During this shoot some of the girls stood out, and not in a good way. Jennifer was just weird with her weird moans during the photo shoot, Bianca looked dead in the eyes, Sundai got called on for stiff lips, Nicole had a hand problem, Bianca worked everything but the eyes, Brittany was called "bride of the mummy", Laura only worked well with the wind machine on. In the end the winner of the photo challenge was Brittany, who had the hardest challenge of photographing through a scarf. Brittany won and was free from elimination. The other girls got all catty looking, especially Erin, who has massive jealousy issues. Erin made her immaturity known through the show, and the judges labeled her as lacking personality. As the winner of the photo shoot, Brittany got to be photographed with two male models of whom Tyra discovered.

All the potential models are competing for a chance at a Wilhelmina contract, a cover and front page spread on Seventeen magazine, and a $100,000 contract with Cover Girl Cosmetics.

This time around the judges were: Tyra as always, Nigel Barker, J. Alexander (who I just do not get), and super model China Chow. I thought China Chow was an interesting add to the group and she seemed to be more honest and upfront with her feelings, and more likable than the other judges combined. Maybe it was her experience in the business that helped.

During deliberation Chow said that Kara was just not working it. Barker said that Erin was just not as likable (duh!), that Ashley was not loving the camera, that Nicole knew how to move, and Laura was labeled womanly. Nigel said he was tired of Bianca her me too!), and Chow said Sundai had a secret in her eyes. They called Rae gorgeous and then Chow called Jennifer "kick ass". Brittany was safe for winning best photo with runner up being Jennifer.

After the judges deliberation the bottom two consisted of Bianca and Ashley. Bianca was sent home, finally. To me she is the one with the worst personality, even worse then greedy Erin. Give Bianca props for trying!
