America's Socialist Fate in 2008

Jack Sampson
As Hillary Clinton inches closer to the White House, individual responsibility in America draws its last dying breath. Anyone fooled by the "Progressive" label already has Hillary's brand of socialism etched into their hearts.

To conservatives, well, as they say, "Please don't kill the messenger" meaning here, don't be mad at Hillary Rodham-Clinton for being America's first Socialist president. We'll discuss that momentarily. But first, to the "Hillary is not a socialist darn it she's progressive" people, well let's see. . .

"The unfettered free market has been the most radically destructive force in American life in the last generation." - Hillary Clinton on C-Span.

"Fairness doesn't just happen. It requires the right government policies." - May 26, Manchester, NH.

Quotes, quotes, so many to choose from, hmmm. . .

Socialized medicine? Check

Redistribution of wealth? Check

Taking profits from businesses, "for the common good?" Check

Government regulation of business? Check

Citizens working "for our leaders?" Check

"She (Hillary) has a political ideology that has its roots in Marxism. In her formative years, Marxism was a very important part of her ideology. . . We all know about her book, It Takes a Village. She says the future is not family but the larger village of teachers, pediatricians and social workers. She talks about raising children as less of a parental task than a social one...You have the destruction of the family unit. That's very basic when you study Socialism and Marxism." - The late Clinton biographer Barbara Olsen, Dec 8, 2000.

Don't Blame Hillary.

I digress, the point here isn't to prove Hillary is a socialist, she has done that herself.

The problem is too many people will read the first part of this article and think "That sounds pretty good to me."

America's "rugged individualism" of the past has all but disappeared, and in its place the Quixotic dreams of a collective utopia where the phrase "life isn't fair" is no longer applicable.

America is corrupted with instant gratification, entitlements, and an infinitely growing laundry list of imagined "rights." Don't believe me? Just watch the show "Cops" and observe the inability of people to solve their own petty problems. (Or, just examine your own heart)

Don't be surprised. "Mr. Socialism," they say, "we've been expecting you. . ."

"The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism, but under the name of liberalism they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program until one day America will be a socialist nation without ever knowing how it happened." -- Norman Thomas, six-time Socialist Party presidential candidate and one of the founders of the ACLU.

Hate Hillary Clinton? No, she's only the messenger. You're the sucker. You actually believe that "soup-line America" is happening. That there is actually an economic crisis. In every example of national totalitarianism, a dictator rose in the midst of turmoil with romantic promises of sweeping change. In America, we have now been convinced there actually is a horrible irreversible economic and political turmoil. (Psssst, isn't the US still the most prosperous country in the history of civilization? Shhhhh!) Suckers. . .

Is this what you want?

America will inevitably be turned into another experiment in collectivism rooted in humanistic secularism. But, because of a basic misunderstanding of human nature, this experiment will become another nightmare, just like 100% of the others.

Indeed, we are near at hand to the exchange of hard-won freedoms for government provided security. The utopian promise is so wonderful, average humans will once again be willing to force the unwilling into participation.

It will rob Americans of their humanity and honor. It will remove the incentives that produce economic progress. And a dark apathy will sweep over the faces of the people. Just like it always has.

Well, individual responsibility, it's been real.

"For America to get back on track, we're probably going to cut that (tax cuts) short and not give it to you. We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good." - Hillary Clinton, America's next President, at a fund-raiser in 2004.

Life is just so miserable here in America, isn't it? It's no wonder millions are flooding out of the USA everyday looking for a better life somewhere else.... thanks for the laugh.

Because it inspired the ire of citizens from other nations. As one cat in India said, if we the world, go into another global war, they should side with China against those imperialist "Americans" known as the USA.

Ignorance is bliss. The fastest growing number of homeless in the US are families. Outsourced, downsized, restructured out of jobs, do not speak Spanish, do not bother to apply. 2nd Mortgages to finance college education for kids, who if they get there, still can not get the tech job because Bill Gates prefers to hire people from China, who, BTW the USA is now indebted to, to pay for the cost of an illegal war. Everyday people have no interest in keeping the Bush/Clinton/Bush monarchy in office. We, the people are tired of Big Brother government and losing our homes to support oil, loggers, pharmecutical wealth that buys those ya'all elect that would attempt to keep US prosperous when Iraq decided to switch to the Euro. That, btw, had a negative effect.

Thanks for saying what needs to be said. I felt sick reading it, but it's the truth. Americans don't want to be Americans anymore. They want the government to baby them.
