Amici's is a a stand-out when it comes to fresh tasting food. Their pizza shines. All the ingredients are mouth watering and the presentation is great. We take it easy on Sunday and usually order out or eat in at a simple neighborhood place. This week end we decided on pizza but my daughter suggested eating in her neighborhood, Coconut Creek, at Amici's Pizzareia-Cafe.

We ordered both a Mushroom Onion and a plain pizza, The plain was for the children. We also ordered a big Antipasto. The Antipasto was the first clue that this was no ordinary pizza place. The Antipasto had brilliantly fresh Lettuce, Pickled Onions, Red onions, Tomato, Cauliflour and Carrots. What was impressive was the at least 10" long rollatini of sliced Ham, Provolone,Mozzarella and Genoa Salami laid across the top and thinly sliced. It was beautiful. It was also extremely good taste wise. We were three adults and 2 children and still had left overs.

Amici's offers Antipasti, Pasta and Fagioli, Fresh Mozzarella Caprese with Roasted Peppers and Onions ($9.00) and Orzo Pasta Salad a lovely combination of Tomato, Orzo, Chick peas, Red Onion, Basil and Mint in a honey Lemon Red Wine vinaigrette at $3.95 a pint. The addition of mint is brilliant and the Vinaigraitte is something would buy by the gallon.

They offer wonderful salads with exciting ingredients like dried Cranberries or grilled Eggplant. Zuchinni, Porotbello Mushroom and more. Salads run $4.00 small/$6.50 large. You can add Chicken for an additional $3.00. Pick your dressing from an assortment of Greek, Ceasar, Creamy Italian, Ranch, Balsamic or the wonderful Vinaigrette.

Panini are $7.95, Hot Subs are $7.95 and Cold subs are $7.50.

Pizza runs Small ($9.95) and Large($13.95) they are 12', 16" and Sicilian 16" x16" for $15.95. There are 18 toppings to choose from including Pineapple. By the slice it's $2.50 for regular and $2.95 for Sicilian. This is only the beginning of a Specialty Pizza Selection that runs $13.95 for 12" and $19.95 for a 16". You can choose from Hawaiian, Blanca, Bolognese, Margerhita, Marinara, Pollo, BBQ, Rustica and Grilled Vegetable., my favorite. The grilled veggies are outstanding. The pizzas are all outstanding with very fresh tasty crisp edged crusts.

Calzones serve 1-2 if you order the small one at $7.50 or serve 4-5 with the large Calzone at $14.00. These also have extra toppings if you choose for between $1.00 and $3.50 depending on the topping.

There are Chicken Wings (10 pcs) for $7.95 if you choose the Buffalo or Tom Jenkins and a dollar more for Rustico Italian. Tom Jenkins is an award winning wing recipe made by one of the Amici's amici (friends).

You can sit down inside in the child friendly, wheelchair accessible restaurant area and order many different dinners with or without Amici''s garlic breadsticks. These are all your typical Italian dinners and run around $10.00 at the most. Portions are generous.

Your kids can choose from Penne with Butter or Meatballs, Ravioli or Chicken Tenders all around $4.95 or less.

If you can pace yourself there are lovely desserts. They have home made Tiramisu, Homade Sicilian Cannoli, Homemade Ricotta Cheesecake as well as Banana Cake, Chocolate Cake or a 12" dessert pizza called a Nutella Pizza for $9.95 made with that scrumptions Nutella topping. The other desserts are $4.95 and the dessert pizza is a great idea if you're eating family style.

If you're stopping in for a slice you can use Wi Fi and hang out for awhile. They are open 11 a.m. until9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 11 am until 10 pm Fri and Saturday. Sunday hours are 12 pm until 8 pm. Eat in Take Out or order from home for delivery. There are daily specials so call ahead.

They are in a pretty shopping center. the Westcreek Plaza, with ample parking on the Southwest corner of Hillsboro Blvd and LYons Road so make your next Pizza run an Amici's run.

Beer and Wine are available, you can see their catering menu online at amicispizzacafe.com
