Amodex Ink & Stain Remover Performance Review
Does Amodex Ink & Stain Remover Removes Sharpie Marker Stains?
In desperation, I decided to do an internet search on Sharpie Marker Stain Removal. I saw this product,
Amodex Ink & Stain Remover, pop up in my search. It was actually recommended by the Sharpie Website. I decided to order a deluxe package with a 0.50 fl. oz. bottle of Amodex Ink & Stain Remover that had a brush, 4 fl. oz. bottle and a 1 fl. oz bottle with a twist cap of the stain remover. At that time, it cost me $17.00 with shipping. This was expensive but definitely cheaper that replacing an entire room of carpeting.
After the package arrived, I read the instructions which stated I should not wet area before applying Amodex. I had already tried to clean this mess up with all types of carpet cleaners with no luck. I also wonder how such a little bottle was going to clean up this big mess.
Following the instructions in the Amodex Box, I applied the Amodex Ink & Stain Remover. I let it sit a few minutes as recommend for stubborn stains. I then took a clean dry washcloth & started to press down on the stain. The Sharpie Marker started to transfer to the washcloth. I had to keep moving to a clean spot on the washcloth.
It took a lot of elbow grease & time, but the Amodex Ink & Stain Remover performed as promised. It removed the stains. I was amazed.

I was recently reminded of the fantastic product Amodex. My now 7 year old artist decided to outline the design on my sofa with a blue sharpie. Currently, the stain is coming out with a lot of patience. I am still using the original package, so it does go along way.
The package of Amodex Ink & Stain Remover states the product is non-toxic. It can also be used on skin. It quickly removes those stubborn temporary tattoos.
This is a great product & performs as promised. Personally, my $17 investment has saved me the cost of carpet & a sofa. Amodex is definitely worth the money.
