As a stand-up comic, Amos Chang has his fair share of witty jokes about his past. He makes great humor out of his Kentucky roots, which undoubtedly appeal to members of his audience from the Hoosier state. However, anyone from the Midwest is sure to get a great laugh from his tales.

Amos Chang is excellent at interacting with the crowd in the club. He is quick on his feet and is able to sway from a standard act to interact with members of his audience. When being seated, beware of sitting near the stage during one of Mr. Chang's acts; you may quickly become the object of his next joke.

While Amos Chang can get bring the audience to laughter, several of his jokes fall a bit short. Some of his jokes seem like they are coming from a pre-pubescent kid rather than a career stand-up comic.

I recently witnessed Amos Chang at the Comedy Caravan in Louisville, Kentucky. His act was quite the mix of great comedy and "does he actually think that was funny?" jokes. While he had a few good Kentuckian jokes that were hilarious, overall, I was glad when he exited the stage so the main comic of the night could begin his stand-up act.

In conclusion, Amos Chang's stand-up comedy is worthy of an opening act. However, I would not pay to see him as the main entertainer unless the tickets were dirt cheap or free of charge.
