Amy Grant Joins Brandon Heath & Jason Ingram at "Love Your Neighbor" Concert to Benefit Nashville Flood Victims
Surprise Guest Amy Grant Helps Raise $61,857 for Nashville Flood Victims
Love Your Neighbor Concert Proceeds Benefit El Shaddai Christian Church
The annual Love Your Neighbor event focuses each year on a special need in the Nashville community and includes some of gospel music's biggest names to raise funds and gather volunteers for that year's cause. After the tragic Nashville flood that devastated Music City on May 1 and 2, this year's "Love Your Neighbor" proceeds will go towards the rebuilding efforts of El Shaddai Christian Church, a small Hispanic church in South Nashville. On Sunday, May 2, the catastrophic flooding brought six feet of water rushing inside the El Shaddai church building. Pastor German Castro had to be rescued by boat. You can see Castro's water rescue on WSMV Fox17.
Concert Performances by Brandon Heath, Jason Ingram, TobyMac, Mike Donehey, Britt Nicole & Amy Grant
Some of gospel music's biggest names performed at this year's benefit concert including TobyMac, Mike Donehey of Tenth Avenue North, Britt Nicole, Heath and Ingram, and special surprise guest, Amy Grant. Most of the artists involved in the charity event, including Amy Grant, reside in or near Nashville.
Brandon Heath Comments on Love Your Neighbor Event
Brandon Heath said about the Love Your Neighbor concert, "Jason and I immediately connected with El Shaddai because we are called to action by God's Word when He says in Galations 6:10, 'let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.'"
Heath commented, "More than a benefit, it felt like a big family piled into the living room to share songs, stories, and all that we have. I'm immensely grateful for the generosity of Nashville, and those watching online. Above all, God was glorified and our neighbors were loved."

Amy Grant has sold more than 30 million albums and won six GRAMMY® Awards in multiple categories, and had six #1 hits, including "Baby, Baby," and "Every Heartbeat." She is one of only two Christian artists to be awarded a star on the legendary Walk of Fame in Hollywood.

Post a CommentAn exception group of artists, seriously......its great to hear about CCM artists really stepping beyond just singing about God's love and really gettin out there and showing it.......(don't know if you noticed....hmmm....El Shaddai Church and El Shaddai (Amy Grant's Song).....interesting.....seems to be a connection, maybe just a coincedance, but one thing for sure is that El Shaddai means God Almighty and one thing for sure is that amidst horror and tragedy in Nashville, Gods really showing himself as almighty overall.
'LOVE' this!!!!
