Amy Winehouse Developing Clothing Line with Fred Perry Fashion

Singer Amy Winehouse has decided to take the same road as Lindsay Lohan and Miley Cyrus and is in talks with British sportswear fashion designer Fred Perry to develop a line of clothing targeted at fans who want to wear the same style Winehouse is famous for reports Women's Wear Daily. Fred Perry, known for their preppy line of football and sports clothing popular with UK young adults, has already sketched designs with the Back to Black and Rehab singer and plan to release the line for sale in October 2010 in boutiques and NEXT stores across the UK.

According to Women's Wear Daily the clothing line currently has 17 pieces and accessories that will feature "a girlish twinset; slim, thigh-skimming pencil skirts; capri pants, a mini bowling dress, and Fred Perry's signature polo shirt" in a palette of mostly black and pink colors in a checkered glam print.

Reaction from fans to the new clothing line has been mixed with most seeing Amy Winehouse as someone with little taste in fashion and too much drama in her life with ex-husband Blake Fielder Civil to tap into the pulse of what her fans, and the buying public, want to wear. When most people think of Amy Winehouse, impeccable personal style is not the first thought that pops to mind. Amy Winehouse is often seen out and about in London, England in torn jeans, smeared makeup and torn up ballet shoes and has been featured at the top of many worst dressed lists since hitting it big with her multi-platinum album Back to Black.

But her personal tastes aside this should not discourage Winehouse from taking a shot at building a clothing line and time will tell if her gamble is a success or not. Amy Winehouse has inspired a glam pop look in pop culture with many young girls recreating her signature beehive and tattoos.

Amy Winehouse is an amazing singer who just completed her third studio album. The album was slated for a Summer 2010 release but has been pushed back to the end of the year while Winehouse works on new tracks to replace tracks that she calls anti-Blake, a reference to her ex-husband Blake Fielder Civil, and time the albums release with her clothing line debut. Amy Winehouse is reportedly re-marrying Fielder-Civil in the next three weeks according to The Daily Mail and has reportedly been seeing Doctors at a rehab facility outside London.
