Amy Winehouse Hacked

Amy Winehouse's website was hacked the last day of June 2011. Oh Amy, you know I feel sorry for you honey. When it rains it pours. Although this time her trouble was not self-inflicted. Apparently her website fell prey to Lil' B fans.

Really though, getting your website hacked is almost a rite of passage these days and fans know that Amy is all about the most popular sabotaging methods. After getting unmercifully booed off the stage in Europe and a well known problem with substance abuse, being hacked is mild.

Swagger Security is reportedly behind this, leaving plenty of evidence behind. Yeah, this was no secret hack job. The e-vandalism took to Twitter to boast and even tweet a link to Amy's website, which is now under their control. I doubt they had a whole lot to gain from this though. Amy is not exactly swimming in popularity at the moment.

It seems SwagSec imagine Amy Winehouse to be the white devil amongst the flashing, profanity-laden rant, it announces that they are going to take " back the internet from the white devil." Amy is not the sole recipient of their anger, white devils include Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga and Bill O'Reilly. Now isn't that an odd group to target. The reasoning is just as odd. Maybe they honestly don't know that Amy Winehouse and this hodge podge group of "white devils" is in control of the Internet.

Amy Winehouse's website is currently being redirected to Winehouse's Facebook page. Not that being called a white devil is something to cause Winehouse to stay up at night, but her unending trip to the bottom is often painful to watch. So many talented singers hit the self-destruct button. I hope that this short blast into the public eye again, for once not doing something embarrassing, will have a positive effect on the artist. Maybe pull herself together and get clean once and for all.
