Amy Winehouse Hacked to Death by the Tabloids

Trending News
There,I said it and I'm angry. I'm sure the red tops are burning the candle at both ends tonight trying to print the sordid details of tragic Amy Winehouse's untimely death at 27 onto the front pages of the Sunday papers. They have the misguided belief that this is their job. Do you think they actually care about the personal tragedy? The Tabloids are indirectly responsible for not only Amy's death, but for many others, including Princess Diana. The British tabloids have been allowed to behave irresponsibly for years unchecked. The politicians are afraid of them. The police have been bought by them. Who can we trust? Their culture of illegal hacking, paying for police information and reporter and photographer bullying must stop today, now! This is the perfect time for a rethink. Lets just suppose that the tabloids didn't hack into the mobile phone of the Grammy award winning Jazz - Soul singer, but who would believe this given the information circulating around London in the last few weeks. Lets say they didn't actually hack her phone but used an army of journalists and private investigators to ingratiate themselves into the Camden crowd to cherry pick information and further harass the fragile singer. Is this more acceptable? Maybe they should be held accountable for harassing her into the quivering train-wreck that she became, after the release of her first album. I actually suspect phone hacking was the source of much of the steady stream of Winehouse information, as they were usually everywhere she was, sometimes before her. They also knew every detail of her drug buying and consumption. Hopefully in the upcoming judicial review questions will be raised in court to Rebekah Brooks, James Murdoch and all of the other editors of the disgraceful British tabloid papers and if they are responsible for the harassment and death of individuals maybe they should go for a stay in the prisons, that they have described as holiday camps for so many years. We firmly believe in press freedom but there is a limit as to what is acceptable behavior by the press.
