An Acrostic Poem for Pet Owners

Abby Greenhill
Remember to love your pets always, no matter what.
Each of us can make a difference.
Special animals need special owners.
Perhaps you can take in an un-wanted dog or cat.
Oftentimes people think they are good pet owners.
Never take your bad mood out on your dog or cat.
Senseless animal cruelty needs to be stopped.
If you are a witness to cruelty, call the authorities.
Believe that you can make a difference in a pet's life.
Love isn't just for people; animals need to be loved too.
Everything has a purpose in life including pets.

Pets enrich our lives without asking much in return.
Every pet needs love, food, shelter and medical care.
They don't ask for much, but they deserve everything.

Our lives are richer when we have pets.
When we lose one, we suffer a great loss.
Never harm an animal or allow one to be harmed.
Each of us has a duty to our pets.
Responsible pet owners make a difference daily.
Someplace out there a dog or cat is in need of a good home.
