Expensive cities are Huntington Beach, Beverly Hills, Newport Beach, Laguna Niguel, Corona Del Mar, Anaheim Hills, Santa Monica, Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Jose, Westminster, Fountain Valley, and Costa Mesa. The real estate price is high in these areas because these are upscale neighborhoods with low crimes rate. You really pay for what you get. You can expect that most features in these areas are upscale.
Affordable cities are Santa Ana, Yorba Linda, Montreal, San Bernadino, Corona, Riverside, Pomona, and Hacienda Height. The real estate price is much lower in these areas due to the fact that it's located in a more secluded area. The weather can be a little warmer than the other city. There are less people living in these city. There are less employment opportunity around these city. You have to drive to nearby city to work. These city are near the forest or valley. It's safer to live and less in crime. A decent house would cost you around $300,000 to $500,000.
