An Angel was I

Living a blissful life it's true

Then suddenly I was sent to this earthly place

To share the secrets of my heart with you

Now I must find my heaven in your eyes

As I pour my spirit out in tears

My every hope and every thought

If only I could quiet my fears

We'll walk together on this human path

Though my spirit struggles with this mortal love

I'll trust in you that you'll help me believe

In the rays of truth I've brought from above

I must be destined to walk this earth
