As a young child I remember
To me it was said
That the American Dream
Will never be dead
For our brothers and sisters
Have laid down their lives
To take up this promise
And keep it alive
But I look all around me
And see such distress
With a lack of compassion
From our elected Congress
With no one to look out
For the "little guys" cause
We shout out our mottos
Seeking new laws
Our Representatives' should quiver
And Wall St should weep
For the people have gone out
Taken to the streets
We take up the challenge
Our Forefathers have set
And cry out the anthem
