Once upon a time, I dreamt a lengthly dream
And through the night, all was just as it would seem
As if I was really there, and so were you
And I felt the very touch, in all that we did do
Our minds were open, through them we did look
We knew each other, and nothing was mistook
Our thoughts were words, and words were deeds
Love was the plant, we were the seeds
But in our bright room, a darkness came about
It held us trapped, within a world with not more doubt
I held your hand as darkness took my voice
I prayed to God, but knew I had no choice
Soon the darkness turned to light
And humble peace had disappeared
Through my window I see sun light
The dream is gone, now reality, so I shed my tears
