Christians rejoice on this day of thanks giving,
For Jesus even now is among the living.
He held His tongue while His tormentors hung,
The Son of God as jokes and taunts were sung.
For Jesus even now is among the living.
He held His tongue while His tormentors hung,
The Son of God as jokes and taunts were sung.
He asked His Heavenly Father to forgive,
So that each and every one may live,
Not for the short time on this earth,
But for eternal life, more than they deserve.
Enjoy this Holy Day as your children hunt colored eggs,
Seek out time with loved ones wherever you are led.
Forgive those whom may have caused any anger, pain or fear,
For we all have sinned along the many years.
Jesus taught us to love, even til His last breath,
Tho some feared it was over as they laid His Remains to rest.
Yet God, His Father, knew that was not His plan,
He sacrificed His only Son to save the soul of man!
