An Easter Prayer

Charlotte Kuchinsky

Here I stand for you to use me
I know that's what you made me for.
Give me a chance for salvation
My life is yours; an open door.

I have arms that can encompass
All those who need a helping hand.
I have eyes that can bear witness
And ears to follow your command.

My heart has space for many others
So I can love one hundred fold.
My soul needs your inspiration.
Don't leave me out here in the cold.

I offer myself in service.
Just tell me what it is you need.
I will follow, this I promise
And I'll do it with all God's speed.

Let me bow my knee to you, Lord
And let my will become your own.
I pray that you make me humble
So for my sins I may atone.

You may bend or break or shape me;
Use me anyway that you can.
I am ready and I'm willing;
This Easter morning, let me stand!
