An Easy Exercise in the Law of Attraction

Kelly Wallace
Take a look at your life. Everything you have and don't have is a direct result of what you've been focusing on. What you focus on expands! Some of you may feel a bit uneasy about this. After all, who wants to believe they've invited poverty, weight gain, and/or an unfulfilled relationship into their lives? I felt that way when first learning about this.

"What? You've got to be crazy! There's no way I'd ever want these bad things in my life! I've just had a lot of bad luck, that's all." This is simply denial at work here. Every action and inaction, every change or lack of it creates our current world. Like the saying goes, "Keep doing what you're doing and you'll keep getting what you've got." Once I accepted this responsibility I found it exhilarating to know I had the power to make my life better!

Before, you may not have been aware of the control you had and unconsciously attracted things you didn't want. Sometimes you did attract things you wanted, but it was in a hit-or-miss fashion. By focusing your thoughts and actions on positive outcomes you can unlock the power of the law of attraction and live the life you've wanted.

Here's a simple exercise to get you started on the path to your dream life:

Get a tablet and a pen. On the first page make a list of at least ten things you want, writing them down as if they're already present in your life. Such as, "I'm in a wonderful and loving relationship. I have lost fifty pounds. I'm working in a job I love. I have an excellent income. I live each day feeling calm and at peace." Whatever you need most in your life, write it down in the present tense. This will more easily create new and positive changes in your life because it shows your subconscious the type of life you desire. In turn, this sends energy out into the universe to set things in motion for you and soon you will start seeing proof that good things are happening in your life.

The following day you'll turn to the next page and write those affirmations all over again, and while you're at it try to include some positive things you feel or have noticed taking place in your life. What we focus on expands, so choose to focus on the positive!

The law of positive attraction isn't difficult, all you have to do is become and do the things that will bring you what you want instead of what you don't want. Changes won't happen over night because your life didn't get where it is now over night. However, the faster you become the type of person that attracts positive things, the faster you'll have the things you want!
