The Crystal Lake Strikers is a drumline consisting of all males starting at age 16 on up. On Saturday February 20th the Crystal Lake Strikers will be performing with other musicians at the Raue Center in Crystal lake to raise money for a scholarship for one of the high school seniors in their group. At the end of the evening the groups first scholarship will be awarded to one of their own. The event will also benefit the Raue Center.

The Crystal Lake Strikers have become quite a fixture on the parade circuit in the McHenry County area of Illinois. The group consists of 17 drummers that wear retro bowling shirts. Their drums are all covered in zebra skins. They are popular because of the dance moves they do along with their drumming to popular songs such as Wipe Out, and Brick House. Also performing that evening are ten other regional musicians including drum set, marimba and timpani solo's as well as percussion ensemble performances and steelpan.

There will also be a drum battle between local 83 year old celebrity Bob Blazier and 11 year old Joey Hanley.
