A marvelous sight, you won't soon forget
Looking out past the fields of hay
A sight to behold, at the end of the day
That sweet lonesome call of the whippoorwill
The last few days, seem so surreal
Sittin' on the porch, with family and friends
Wishing the evening, didn't have to end
Days of the past, when our family lived close
These are the times that I miss the most
A death in the family, brings us all back together
Heartstrings that tie us, like an invisible tether
All too soon, this unlikely reunion will end
And we'll all go our separate ways again
Hugging, and vowing, that we'll keep in touch
With these family members that we love so much
It's easy to keep in touch, with many ways to communicate
We can't let life hold us up, Tomorrow might be too late!

Post a Commentyes, we should all take this poem to heart and remember that we are only on this earth so long before God calls us home. We need to savor every moment we have with each other and, when we are apart stay in touch. It is never too late to to let someone know you care while they are living in this world. That's why I say every chance I get to all my loved ones "I love you". These are three little words that are so easy to say--yet so difficult to get out. I love you Sis--yes, I am Nancy's sister--and I am so very proud of you!!!!!! Keep up the wonderful writing.

Often times, the loss of a loved one, reminds us who we have lost track of! Great writing as usual Nancie!
