An Hour for the Earth

Zorlone
I light a candle tonight,

a flicker of golden tongue,

a torch to my darkened room,

celebration for earth day.

I called out to my neighbors,

with candles lit in their houses,

streets - silent with contentment,

a town of concern for nature.

The hour flew fast and sweet,

emerging from the darkness,

candles - blown off,

the celebration ended.
