An Inspirational Poem: The Rose Within My Soul

Amanda R. Dollak
I've stared down Life's dark abyss
And felt Death's soul-piercing cold . . .
Beared many a Judas kiss
And faced grim horrors untold.
Yet I count myself so blessed:
Although I've endured earth's scorn,
I've also witnessed the best
And fairest bloom from the thorns.
Like the early rose of spring
Rising out of barren snow,
My soul bursts forth from Death's sting,
Seeking the Lord's warmth to grow;
I ever become stronger
After each new passing day,
And I fear night no longer
For it always fades to day.
