I met Carlos Spry in 2004 through a business associate of mine and was impressed with his vision and drive for all things business. Carlos appeared to have an inward knowing that he would do great things in life and nothing would deter him even though he was a boy from a rural area in Georgia.

I recall a time more than 4 years ago now, when Carlos and I were leaving a meeting and passing by an undeveloped million dollar subdivision and he said, "Hey, let's stop by so I can show you what my home in the future is going to look like". I thought to myself, "why does this guy want to look at these million dollar homes"? What I didn't understand at that time is that he was speaking those things that be not as though they were, which so many of us as believers don't do often enough.

Recently, I received a press release announcing that this man from very humble beginnings had just had his first book published called, "Succeeding Beyond Your Failures." I knew Carlos as a Real Estate Entrepreneur, so I was excited to see what other things God was going to do in and with his life, so I decided to take some time out and chat with Carlos about his latest achievement.

AC: Well, well, Mr. Carlos Spry, I thank you so much for taking a few minutes out of your busy schedule to tell our audience about what wonderful things are happening in your world. I want to first start by asking you to give our audience a little background about who you are and where you are from originally?

CS: Macon GA

AC: Tell us about what motivated you to pursue entrepreneurship?

CS: I wanted to be a blessing to people and become an asset to my community

AC: What did your family think about your determination? Did they think you were reaching beyond your ability?

CS: Yes, in the very beginning, I did not have any support. Everyone wanted me to stay at my job because that was (safe); now they are glad I pushed forward and pursued my dreams.

AC: Are you a man of faith? Does your faith propel you to pursue your dreams?

CS: Yes I am. If it was not for my faith, I would have gave up a long time ago. Some days are still hard, however, my faith in Christ keeps me going.

AC: Carlos, what inspired you to write "Succeeding Beyond Your Failures"?

CS: I wanted people to hear my story. I want people to know that you can achieve your goals without playing a sport or trying to sing or rap. You have to have faith, and never give up. If I can do it, anyone can.

AC: Without giving too much away, what can our readers expect to take away from this book?

CS: Motivation to get out and JUST DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Time to get to work, playtime is over!

AC: Do you have a book tour scheduled yet? If so, how can people find out when you'll be in their city?

CS: No tour as of yet, I am working on my movie project that will be coming out in Sept

AC: Can you give aspiring writers some words of wisdom of how to birth their vision of becoming an author?

CS: Well, I have a wonderful publishing company that they can contact that will help them mode and shape their ideas. Other than that, the 1st step is to stop thinking about it and JUST DO IT!

AC: Carlos, I thank you so much for your time today and I pray God's blessings upon your life as you pursue excellence in every area of your life.

CS: Thank you very much for having me. God bless!
