She being endowed with a nice natural sense of communication, clarity of exposition and a certain degree of originality in organizing the words has been creating her valuable articles.
Her website on AC is :
http://www.associatedcontent.com/user/411179/andra_picincu.html.
She also inspires other writers or poets by sending her gracious comments.
I requested her to sit for an interview with me, but firstly she was feeling uneasy, because she is doubtful of the quality of her articles, and this is a good sign for a good author. Because a good author, a good scientist etc. never applause on himself or herself, but they applause on others.
At last she agreed for the interview and I asked her few questions and those are given below for all of you along with her answers, and yes, she answered all of my questions very nicely.
Interview :
Question 1:
Saikat : Hello, How are you feeling as you sit for this interview ? Don't worry. Just think I am one of your family members.
Andra : I must admit that I'm excited because it all has been unexpected. I'm a quite shy person in general, but I have learned to express my feelings and opinions throw writing.
Question 2 :
Saikat : Why do you actually use Associated Content (AC) ? Is it the same as or different to your original intentions ?
Andra : AC was one of the first companies that introduced me into the world of writers. Initially, I started to write for money, but in time I've discovered that AC promotes much more values and experiences than material benefits. It helped me to improve my vocabulary and my English skills, which were pretty poor at the beginning. I have had moments when I was felling exhausted and disappointed because I am a perfectionist and my work wasn't good enough for my expectations. But now I write for AC with pleasure and devotement because I've learned to appreciate the opportunities that AC offers to any writer.
Question 3 :
Saikat : How do you like to publish your articles on AC ?
Andra : The way in which I publish my article depends mainly on my feelings. Sometimes I like to write about a hot topic and expect for controversial reactions and other times I just write according to my feelings and thoughts. As I don't live in US, I receive only performance payments, so I'm not doing it for money. I just hope to make people think more about certain important issues that are often ignored or omitted.
Question 4:
Saikat : Please, tell us about how you are happy with the present working principles of AC.
Andra : I am satisfied regarding the working principles of AC, although there can be done some improvements. But in the end, the quality consists not in some rules, but in the views and devotement of those who work here, giving the best of them. They represent the true image of AC. There are many other well designed and innovative websites that offer a poor work. AC is simple to use, practical and educational, being a great resource of knowledge and good ideas.
Question 5 :
Saikat : What do you think about the basic duties of a citizen for His/Her country ?
Andra : I think that the duties of a citizen for his country reflect the values promoted by that country. When people don't take these basic rules into account, this will affect the national image and implicitly, the ones who really are good citizens. For example, Romania has some great values, places and people who made their work known all around the world; but there are even more persons who commit crimes and harm the national image, attitude that leads to a bad reputation. People tend the keep in mind rather the bad things than the good ones.
Question 6 :
Saikat : I think your articles are very well written with great philosophical views. How can you do those works so perfectly ?
Andra : I was always attracted by a deeper side of things. I'm not a fulfilled person in the real life, as I have many problems. I always dedicated my time for study, dedicating myself to the sacrifices required by a better life; and I succeeded. I still have many things to do, but I'm trying to take it step by step. This lacks made me to search for happiness and answers in other directions than the usual ones. I started by reading Moliere and Balzac and other well known writers in order to improve my knowledge about people and ideas and about the way in which the world has gained its place in history. Later, when I was capable enough to understand philosophy, I started again to read intensely and this clarified many of my questions, helping me to achieve a certain way of thinking, which I apply day by day. My philosophical works express that hidden part of me that desires to change something, to share to the others some amazing thoughts and facts about life.
Question 7 :
Saikat : Suppose, on your next birthday your best friend wants to give you any one gift between "A bunch of sweet roses" OR "A box of 100 gold coins". Which gift will you prefer to take ? Or will you prefer to take the both ?
Andra : I think that what matters is their intention and not their gift. I would like to take them both, but I wouldn't do it because I could not take advantage of them. I think I would choose the roses, because money come and go, but the flowers are one of the most beautiful expressions of life; and the memory of those roses that reflect the joy of my friends will always live in my soul.
Question 8 :
Saikat : Which type of Game do you enjoy most ? Cricket, Football, Chess, Basketball, Billiards OR any other ?
Andra : I can't say that I'm a sports fan. I like to play backgammon and I do gym almost every day. I don't enjoy it very much, but I know that it's for my own good.
Question 9 :
Saikat : Who is your most favorite singer ? Do you like Vengaboys, Ricky Martin, Backstreet Boys, Enya songs, Beegees ?
Andra : I like very much to listen to '70s and '80s music, as those songs really express a feeling. They are intense and have a message, fact that misses often from the modern songs. I have a great appreciation for Alphaville, Julio Iglesias, Vonda Shepard, Sandra and Abba. They represent me the most, as they sing about the deepest feelings and aspirations.
Question 10 :
Saikat : According to you which is the most wonderful place on the world? Did you visit that place ?
Andra : I don't think that there is such a place, as all the places in the world are amazing in their own way. Each piece of land is part of history and culture, having its own beauty. I like the most the places that have not been transformed by people, ancestral places like the Amazon rainforest, Senegal, India, Africa; places where people live by respecting the laws of the earth, having a great respect for nature and divinity.
Question 11 :
Saikat : Do you like to see Indian movies or other movies ? Then which category among: Horror, Comedy, Romantic, tragedy, silly or any other ?
Andra : Yes, I like to see Indian movies, especially the romantic ones. The Indian culture is unique and the tradition has a great meaning; this fact is very well expressed in these movies. Moreover, I'm fascinated by Indian women, as they are some of the most beautiful women in the world. They have some kind of unique mystery and charm. I like to see other movies too, especially psychological movies.
Question 12:
Saikat : Do you think the "eyes" of a lady is very important to catch the heart of a Man ? :)
Andra : Maybe the eyes are the most important. A man will be attracted by a woman's body, but her body will not keep its youth forever. On the other hand, the eyes will always have the same brightness, as they are the windows of soul. They are the only ones that reflect our feelings and experiences and as our soul is immortal, the eyes keep saying the story of our life, despite the age we have.
Question 13:
Saikat : Share few stories of your friends with us. Are they very helpful for you ? How ?
Andra : I don't have too many friends, but the ones I have are the best. Last winter I went in Bulgaria to a health resort with Marius and Ana, my best friends. The place was empty, there were no people excepting the personnel of the hotel. I was very disappointed at the beginning. The hotel was pretty expensive, so we made a reservation for only one room. I was thinking: "Oh, I will have no privacy, it will be awful!", but all proved to be a wonderful experience. First, we went to the pool and then we drunk a bottle of Irish Cream, which is my favorite beverage. We played some pool and danced and had a great time. On the way home we were singing in the car and...it was very good! I've learned that the most important are the people next to you and not the place itself. My friends help me very much, as they know when to listen and when to speak, when to give an advice and when to receive one. They support me and encourage me and I do the same. Maybe sometimes our expectations are quite unrealistic, but our friends' advice gives us hope and this matters the most.
Question 14 :
Saikat : Tell us about a sweet and a bitter memory of your school days.
Andra : Unfortunately, my school days haven't been so great. During the primary classes and the first three years of highschool, I was considered a geek, although I was wearing cool clothes, going out in bars and so on. I was having the greatest results and this was weird. But in the last year of highschool (a new highschool), I was quite popular. The others didn't know anything about my "geek history", so they considered my very cool. I have been the queen of the prom and I finished highschool with the highest results, enjoying my experiences.
Question 15 :
Saikat : What is your opinion about all men of the world (in general): They are selfish, They are naughty, They are incredible, They are stupid, They are arrogant Or They are really good ? Do you like any special Man ? If yes, then Why. If No, then why ? :)
Andra : Although I write articles that tease men, I really have a good opinion about them. The topic is quite subjective. I think that each man is special if the woman next to him considers him special. I don't like arrogant men, but there are women who like this type. I don't like blonde men, but many women like. It's about personal taste, nobody is perfect and no man or woman will be loved by everybody. I think that a man is the perfect one if his woman considers him like this. There aren't good or bad men, there are only women who like them or not. I don't like any special men for the moment, because I'm too focused on my career and I have a difficult attitude. I'm very independent and there aren't many people who would agree with this. Maybe one day, I will find someone right for me and I'm sure that I will know for sure that he's the one.
Question 16 :
Saikat : According to you What/who is the top most enemy for your country ? Have you any suggestion to solve that problem ?
Andra : The main enemies of my country are the people who live in it. Romania is an ex communist country and people's mentality has many lacks because of this. Although we are now a democratic country, the leaders are still communist. There are people who have everything and people who have nothing. The salaries are too small, the work is too hard and everyone tries to take advantage of others. The goods are as expensive as they are in developed countries and people commit crimes for them. Nobody has any respect for the others' work and the politicians try only to get rich, without doing anything effectively. Indeed, there are very good doctors, engineers and experts, but they prefer to relocate in richer countries where they can be paid according to their work.
Question 17 :
Saikat : If anybody says to you that he/she hates your country then what will be your action towards him/her (Will you give a slap or Will you use a bad slang or will you kill him/her or will you start to cry) ?
Andra : I would try to explain him/ her that Romania has many values that are not promoted and that there are many bad people who harm the image of my country. The worse is that they are the ones who represent a model, because the others appreciate their wealth, when searching for a quick way to get rich. I would try to present to that person the role of Romania in history, the beautiful places we have that are not valued at all and the traditions that lasted beyond time.
Question 18 :
Saikat : Do you like Politics ? Any comments on Politics ? Why ?
Andra : No, I'm not interesting in politics at all, because in my country the politics is just a masquerade. We do not have a real political system, so I don't have what to tell about.
Question 19:
Saikat : Do you believe in the existence of Ghost or bad soul ?
Andra : It's quite a disputed topic. I think that the soul of every person, his experiences and feelings last in time despite his death. For example, there are places that give us an obscure feeling of sadness and places that enjoy us, without special reason. It's about the energy of actions, the energy of the soul itself. You surely know that old quote that says that a man can change the world throw his thoughts, that the Universe accomplish his wishes if they are strong enough. We have a huge energy, but we don't know how to use it in our advantage. What remains after we die is a piece of this energy and it will be there forever. All our joys and moments of sadness, the times when we cried or when we laughed, they all remain suspended somewhere in space and time, until somebody finds them. Nothing is lost. The ghosts and bad souls are nothing more than the energy of those who lived there or who passed throw a special situation in that place, and this energy can take several forms, even a human one.
Question 20:
Saikat : Do you like to eat ice-creams in a chill-cooled winter season ?
Andra : Ice cream is my favorite! I don't eat sweets, but ice cream is never enough. And I've even found a dietetic ice cream that has only 36 calories, which doesn't contain milk, being based on ice tea.
Question 21 :
Saikat : Do you like the poems of Life and Love written by a poet on AC ? How much ? Do you believe that a sweet Love is very much necessary for a happy Life ?
Andra : I like very much the poems of certain poet, SAIKAT KUMAR DUTTA , who has a great talent and writes about extraordinary feelings better than anyone else. He has some beautiful poems about love and its role in our life, a life that would be empty without this unique feeling. Love is intense and cruel and beautiful. It makes miracles and changes people. What else can make all these?
Question 22 :
Saikat : Have you enjoyed this interview ? Will you like to suggest others to have an interview discussion with me ?
Andra : I really enjoyed this interview, as it was very complex and interesting. I found a lot of questions that required disputed answers and this made me feel challenged. I will surely recommend to others to discuss with you, as you are a great person and a very inspired poet. Thank you.
