An Interview with "The Donald"

Help Fight Homeless!

I was really looking forward to this interview with Donald Trump. My people were trying to set up an appointment with "his people". Donald Trump is such character and really appears to be a fun loving kind of guy. However, for some reason, we just kept playing phone tag. So, I decided to interview another Donald. I call him "My Donald". His name is Donald Pennington. He is a self-proclaimed free-thinker who eschews politics, most religions, and believes that science might not save us, but it's the best chance we have. I think you will find "My Donald" a very interesting person to get to know here on AC.

Irene: My Donald, what brought you to Associated Content?

My Donald: Great question. I've been looking for legitimate money-making opportunities all over the web. After being burned time and again, I was introduced to AC by the awesome Tyler Mills. I now don't want to do anything else.

Irene: Many AC producers would love to know your background; you know how you made your billions. Uh oh, I'm sorry. I kept thinking I'm talking to "The Donald". Well, how about just sharing with us your background.

My Donald: Ha-Ha! Y'know, Mr. Trump is one of my heroes. He's quite a deal-maker. As far as my background goes, I can't really give all of the details...it would read like fiction. Besides, I wasn't paying much attention in my youth so I just don't remember some of it. I'd grown up in a broken, dysfunctional (aint they all? LOL), home operated by a single Mom who did the best she could for us six kids with no instruction manual. I went to work at eight years young carrying out garbage for the Late, Great Cecil M. Pruitt, Attorney-at-Law. He might or might not have realized that he was actually saving me from ravenous hunger and indescribable poverty. Since then, I've always worked whatever job I had and read all the books that I could get my hands on. After becoming disillusioned with the way the world really works and what I was told life was about at about age 13, I went on the road. I tried returning back to 'normal' society once or twice. But once the mind is re-shaped by new information it can never go back to it's original form.

Irene: What would you say is the most important value you have in your life?

My Donald: In what arena? My children are a tremendous value to me. In another way Life itself is the ultimate value. To quote John Maher: "I am invincible; as long as I'm alive." Oh I hope I answered the question you meant.

Irene: You had a fascinating idea when you did interviews with several AC producers about a week ago. I thought this was such a clever way to promote yourself and also their works. How did you ever come up with this idea and what were the results for your self?

My Donald: Thank you. I was just curious what made other CP's 'tick.' It was also a goal to learn how other CP's found success with AC. Those things happened...I've already learned so much from you beautiful people...but there's also a sense of connection with so many. Another benefit is that my muse is making a few visits again.

Irene: How long have you been writing? Is there a special genre you prefer?

My Donald: Altogether, with the goal being, monetization, I've only been writing (blogging, newsletters, articles, etc.,) for just under two years. But my muse has been patiently chasing, and waiting on, me all of my life. My first piece was a four verse, four-lines each, prose titled "rain" that I wrote for my Mom at six years old. She was so tired the day I gave it to her from work that she said "That's sweet honey." and set it aside without ever reading it.

Irene: Ok, I'm going to turn the tables on you now. How has AC treated you and how do you think they can improve?

My Donald: AC's great to me. They're terribly busy, what with 100,000 members and all. I couldn't really ask them to change a thing. Did Hemingway have 'support?' Poe? Shakespeare? All I would ever ask of AC is more of the same. I love them!

Irene: If there was one piece of advice you would give to newbies here on AC, what would that be?

My Donald: Don't make my mistakes. People's feelings matter. I once did an interview with the incredible David Marin. Just click "here" to read that interview.
He'd sent his replies to me in all caps, to make it easier for me to distinguish. I copied and pasted the whole interview and it was embarrasing to him. His feelings were hurt and I'll always regret that.
Also: Write! Write at least one article a day. Keep a notepad by you at all times. We've all heard how the best ideas come to you in the shower.
Lastly you newbies had better get a real good anti-virus/anti-spyware program on your puter or you'll get jammed up like me.
Other than that
Oh. You said ONE piece of advice. Huh? Oops!

Irene: Do you have any hobbies or specialties you would like to share with us?

My Donald: Yup. I'm a human lie detector. Usually women have this ability. But it's a handy talent for a guy to have too. It seems to have something to do with the AM/FM variables in the human voice.

Irene: What was the craziest thing you have ever done?

My Donald: Define 'crazy.' Define 'thing.' Actually there's just way too many for me to pick just one. My brothers and I ransacked the School gym once after hours..Does that count?

Irene: What would you say is your passion in life?

My Donald: Good question. That's a tough one. I'm passionate about several things. I don't have just one. Okay. Individual, autonomous liberty, and the encroachment of governments thereupon throughout history is one.

Irene: Is there anything else you would love to share with the other AC producers?

My Donald: Yes. Be good to each other. We people are all we've got. That doesn't mean you should be 'sacrificial.' It's okay to have a rational, healthy self-interest. But caring about one another is in your own self interest. If I died today I'd like that thought to be my legacy.

Irene: This concludes my interview with "My Donald". You too can make My Donald, your Donald by subscribing to: http://www.associatedcontent.com/user/111823/donald_pennington.html

Donald Pennington: Thank you Irene. You're awesome! (And thank you for being patient.)
