An Intro to Me

The Practice of Spiritual Narcissism

Arkay Evans
It is important to know
that the words of this poet serve
as a simple invitation,
a trip through the mind of an internal voyeur,
not a debatable imposition
or a public sermon
up for defamation,

In fact, I am pleased for your freedom,
that you use the big boots
to believe what you will
as I have come to do,
And that what you believe
drives you to treat others
with the motive you long to see,

This is an Intro to Me.

For along with you, I am my own.
Fierce with a verbiage sword,
and fighting in my way
the powers of this world;
Like you,
I learn to give and receive,

My words are thoughts that I believe.
I have no need
to follow or compare;
and none to compete or lead,

For I am busy.
I've fallen in love with being in love,
And being a spiritual narcissist,

it's been really nice to meet me.
