The Mecklenberg county public school system has more than 128,000 students in over 160 facilities county-wide. With more than 16,000 teachers and staff members, the system supports a variety of pre-kindergarten, elementary, middle and high schools as well as special education facilities. In addition to the county's public schools, there are fourteen private schools and academies.

Seven of the nation's leading collages and universities also call Charlotte home, including the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. UNCC boasts attendance of over 21,000. This student research university sits on a 1000-acre campus that helps to enhance the historical beauty of the city. Sports

Some of the biggest attractions in sports include the NFC, NFL, NBA, WNBA and the NCAA. No matter what kind of sport you're into, Charlotte is the place for you!

The NASCAR fanatic's dream city! Charlotte is a quintessential stock car racing city and Lowe's Motor Speedway is the home field for most drivers and teams. The NASCAR Hall of Fame will soon call this lovely city home.

    Very nice written article! I really enjoy reading a quick, get to the point article that doesn't beat around the bush about a topic...you nailed it. I have visited Charlotte a few times and reading this made me want to go and visit again! Charlotte is a beautiful place. I agree with the comment above about using this article in their visitor ads--would benefit them greatly! Great job! MORE! MORE!
