An Invisible Love

A Sonnet

Arkay Evans
Sometimes I feel so close to you,

so close that I'm afraid to breathe,

Afraid that you'll disappear

an involuntary inhale, sweeps

the delicious scent of your discovery

completely into all of me,

And then there is no fear,

for I can feel that all I have to hold

is firmly holding onto me,

Speaking me

in a language of wordless sound

that has always defined me,

Long before I knew the walls of these words,

or the fear of this flight,

And now, as I look into your eyes of light,

my sweet milk chocolate

is liquid touch that calls for your resolve

I am melted in this heat,

The perfect match you strike with

cerebral energy,

The storm you bear till we are one again

as was always meant to be,

and during this celestial feast,

all of our humanity thrives,

submits and attempts to describe, saying,

Dear God,

what wondrous thing now comes alive;

An invisible love for all to see
