Flashing pen, down, up, left and right.
A blank page for my graphite thoughts,
As dext'rous fingers try to write.
With each crossed "t" and dotted "i"
A blank line fills and leaves my head.
Not for the ear, but for the eye;
These words are written, rarely said.
A ballpoint tip, gliding, halting,
Pressing wet ink against the page.
Thoughts in words are still but falt'ring,
Weak attempts to survive the age.
A piece of paper for the truth,
Or for feelings that come and go,
Like the passions of passing youth,
No more lasting in ebb and flow.
A piece of paper for the fire,
A bit of warmth for dark, cold nights,
To warm the brain, and to inspire
Another vain attempt to write.

I loved it! Very nice, kudos to you!
Excellent poem - well-constructed and meaningful. You put a lot of passion and creativity into your writing, and it shows.
Great poem! Writing is a great release and a great fustration at the same time.
I agree with Candice. I've gotten to the point to where writing on paper os a foreign idea to me. LOL.
Very cool poem.
I need to get back to using pen/pencil and paper. My ode to writing is more like - "The click click of the keyboard..." Hehe.
Very good article, but all I got to say, is that I am amazed how I was moved by the poem, the poem made me feel like I was writing with ink in real life, or something.laterz.
