I must first off say that overall I do appreciate what you stand for.
Or is it, try to stand for?
Honoring fallen soldiers of a trust fund babies' war is admirable.
It is also admirable how passionate you get about the victimized, or at least, the truly victimized.
See, your biggest fault is you think everyone accused of a crime is guilty.
Especially when it involves, "Shhhh! Lean closer!" (Whisper) "Seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeex."
You don't believe in "innocent until proven guilty."
You only see, "Guilty to Boost Ratings."
You blew it with the Duke case.
You basically stated the boys were guilty even when DNA started to show they weren't.
You never even apologized.
Are you sure you aren't in the Sharpton-Jackson club?
Well Nancy...newsflash.
Not every man accused of a crime is guilty.
Especially sex crimes.
We now live in a society where the "Chilllllllllllldren" are always innocent and women are always the weaker sex - except when they want jobs or money or social standing.
Cough....did I just say that?
Get over it, Nancy.
A century ago the "Chilllllllllllllldren" where working the fields, milking the cows, tiling the soil.
Boys AND girls.
Now?
They are so uneducated and lazy that they use the excuse "Oooh, 30 is today's 15!"
Let me ask you something.
Why is it that adults should be avoiding "kids" on the internet?
Why are the "kids" even there in the first place?
You hypocricize the term "kids" by calling a 16-year-old girl with huge breasts, who flashes them all over myspace, as an innocent "child."
So how are these "Chillllllllllllllllllldren" not sharing in the culpubility of the actions between them and the adult?
You act as if these "chilllllllllllllllllldren" are walking around in diapers?
Most of them basically are, in their thongs and mini tees, posted all over the web, right?
But who manipulated them?
Nancy?
Answer...no one.
I know of a man victimized because he stood up to a boss within a working climate that taught brain washing - the classroom.
He stood up and two girls were then planted on the web to flirt with him.
They said they were overage.
Turned out they were 17 or 16.
No sex was ever mentioned with them or any invite extended to them to meet.
Zero.
But all they did was call the police (one detective having been best friends with said boss) and say "Oooooh the bad man did it."
They were asked, "Where are these sexual conversations?" (Convieniently, they also deleted the conversations where they said they were 18 or 19)
"Ohhh we didnt know what to do so we deleted them because we were scared. But Officer! We swear he did it!"
And Nancy, they arrested him.
It's still the first case of its kind, that I am aware of, and has spurred me on to write a book on it.
No meet.
No lure.
Still arrested.
Gone broke.
Almost ruined two-plus years of his life until the court system, a great and ethical defense attorney, and a prosecutor with a mind, saw the truth.
But people like you would have painted him guilty.
Sadly you would have even when one of the girls was actually 18 during the conversations and lied that she was "underage" when she talked to him.
Why aren't those two hussies and the people who put them up to it behind bars?
Why not?
Because the "Chillllllllllllllllllllldren" don't know what they are doing.
You ever hear of a felony conspiracy charge?
That's what this was.
Did the man prove the plant?
No. Why?
It never went to trial and I wonder why......
We live now in a society where mothers actually are teaching their kids "If your teacher, coach, counselor does anything to make you mad, just say he touched your..."
Don't believe me?
Then you don't do your homework.
More women and "Chillllllllllllllllldren" use sex and the law to fight their battles rather than maning or womaning up.
The aforementioned man won...
But now he can never date a nice woman who adores him if she has kids.
Why?
Because if she ever knew of the arrest and flipped out, a fear of reprecussion screams loudly.
He now must literally be afraid to have kids of his own, because then he couldn't invite kids over to play with his son or daughter.
Why?
An arrest is enough to cause panic.
It is time to start balancing the scales.
There are indeed predators out there.
But I would bet at least 50% of them are being lured by the kid...and im sorry only in America is a 21-year-old dating a 16-year-old considered sick.
That's the truly sick part.
By the way, do your research...here's another story to do..
How many registered sex offenders are indeed labelled as such for solely having consensual sex with a minor?
How many of these offenders were less than 10 years the girl's or boy's senior?
How the heck is that a crime?
He takes her to dinner.
Buys her flowers.
Respects her parents.
Makes love to her.
And he's a criminal because the STATE says so?????
Nancy, I'm a national award winning collegiate journalist and a blossoming screen writer.
I know your job.
Do it for once
Do something that matters instead of spewing the same old rhetoric we see on Dateline.
Go after the adult predators.
AND
The "Chilllllllllllllllldren" who perpetuate the crimes themselves.
Hey they drive the getaway car in a robbery and get convicted how is driving this type of shift, willingly, any different?
AND
Go after the busy body state officials who make sex a priority and not un-education, poverty, racial tensions, and the like....
Best of wishes to you because I bet deep down you are a good person
and because of that I ask myself how can you live with yourself?
Best wishes
L.D.
PS
By the way to proove how to be unbiased. Nancy...you are in no way responsible for the death of that nutso mother. It is a proven fact that it is near impossible to hurt someone's feelings unless they choose to have them affected. Thus you were harsh on her. So what?
You are innocent of another person's weakness in character.
I want that on the record.
Now...see if you can do that....
