Day Cares and families were eating their lunch, when we drove by the shelter. The ice cream parlor is located to the right of the picnic shelter. In the Summer time you can request your favorite ice cream.
The barn that the horses are harnessed up in, is to the right of the ranch. It is exciting to climb aboard the wagon, as a gentleman sits in the front of the wagon. The man steers the horse driven team, as we ride along the road bed. Everyone holds a bucket of feed, as we stop at intervals along the roadside.
Pot belly pigs and their babies can be seen all through the ride. The baby pigs' bellies drag the ground, as they run after their mothers. White deer lay out, on the green hillside, in the sun.
The Zebra's are beautiful with their black and white striped coats. Their coats are shiny and bright. Water buffalo come up to the wagon and eat out of your bucket. They can be hand fed.
Water buffalo welcome the site of the wagon, as it rolls up. Long neck Ostriches' and Emus' run through the open fields. They look like they are children playing together. The gray Rhinoceros lays in his cement pen.
We never imagined seeing a giraffe up close or personal. Today the giraffe's held their heads over the fence right at the wagon. Several of the adults were able to let the giraffe's eat out of their buckets. The hour long ride was well worth the trip.
There is a petting zoo right behind the horse barn.
To the left of the horse and wagon barn is a large fenced in zoo area. This zoo area has birds, turtles, rabbits, and other animals to see. The country store has plastic zoo animals inside for sale. If you want to choose an animal to take home, you can. You can book a time to bring a group. The group rate for 15 people or more is $7.00. If you are not bringing a group then it is $8.50 to ride through the ranch in your car or $14.00 to ride the horse drawn wagon. Believe me the horse drawn wagon is well worth the trip.
