Aside from the eggs, I bought other grocery that time as well.
Then going home, I took the commuter ride called a jeepney where passengers are seated in two rows facing each other. Everything was well when suddenly, the woman in front of me dropped her umbrella and it fell on my lap and onto my bag of eggs. I let out a shout. She said she was sorry but that I didn't have to yell much.
I told her she didn't understand. I was carrying a bag of eggs and was trying to carefully guard them. When I opened the bag, I saw that out of the 6 pieces of eggs that I bought, 4 were broken. She said sorry but never offered to pay for them. It really sucked! But the woman looked poor and so I didn't insist on her paying for my eggs. It was charged to my experience.
Sigh...these things just happen don't they? Just when you are trying to be careful, the other person doesn't.
