An Unhappy World

Janice Hinds
Imagine how interesting our lives could be

While living in a corrupt and mixed up world

The suffering and the sick, Look and see

No one cares about Brother, Sister, You or Me

Do we, Stop, Think, Reflect, or even try to agree

To stop the Sorrow, the Pain, all in vain ?

Don't turn our backs, Thinking, Can't happen to me

Times change, incidents happen, and we feel the pain

He had a gun, Lord, no where to run

The Bank was empty, business was slow

Employees were reminiscing, laughing, having fun

One by one they all dropped to the ground

Blood all around, the deed was done

You happened to be there, Sad, now you know

Crime is every ones business, lurking at the door.

Why did it happened to him we asked ?

Loving, kind and full of life before he passed

Family and friends mourn the unfortunate lost

Of a Love One, Colleague, Friend, Father, Boss

No one expects this to be their final fate

Lets find a way to stop the crime caused by hate

So true, nobody wants to get involved until it touches them.
