An Unlimited Pressing: A Review of Vinyl Lager by Magic Hat Brewing Co

What would Hervé Vilard drink if he wanted a tasty spirit right now? Or Danny Holley? Would it be iced Barcadi's with cola or a Pabst Blue Ribbon? Might you try a chardonnay, Billy Mure, or will it be La Roja for you sir? Barefoot and Andy are definitely having the piña colada, that much I can say. They have left it up to me to press the Vinyl Lager into me lips.

Mmmm...waxy cylinders and tasty grooves. Ermmm...yeah. I don't even want to know why they named this brew as they did (though the video they have on their website promoting the beer is quite excellent.). It must be one of Magic Hat's hip, youth movement appeal productions or perhaps they are just a bit wonky in the cranial region. You figure it out, Einstein, while I suds up my derelict tongue with more pressing matters.

What's the beer all about then? If you must know... it's caramel in a three piece suit with a buttery bow tie demanding a malty hit or else it's off to the adjunct fields with you, low-class picker and strummer. If there's a hit packed into this pint sized lager it's that it drinks down rather smooth and quickly. Kinda like sunshine on the rocks makes your belly dance the Las Dos Rosas.
