An Update of the Hit and Run Road Accident

Denise Larkin
It has been almost four weeks since my son, James was knocked down and left lying in the road by a hit and run vehicle.

He has recently just undergone a nine hour operation to his face, jaw and head and is still trying to recover from this horrendous accident. The top of his head was stitched with staples after surgery where the incision was made and stitches all the way down the side of his face. These scars will be there for life, which is a horrible thing to even have to think about.

His left arm is broken and is now in a brace, but it will take weeks to heal. His pelvis has a hairline fracture, which he has to be careful with. He has to lean on a crutch if he wants to go to the bathroom. Other than that he is healing slowly. He cannot eat very well at present, because of his healing jaw. It is taking a long time to back to normal for him.

A week ago, the Romford Recorder Newspaper published an article on this accident to help find answers on who did it.

Today, the Evening Standard Newspaper, also, published an article to help the police find answers.

Anyone with information should get in touch with Pc Daniel Riddle at Romford police station on 0300 123 1212 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Every time I try to read the newspaper articles, I have to stop because I can't stop crying. I can't believe that a human being could do such a despicable thing. I wish I could be there to help comfort you in some way. Alas, my thoughts and prayers are all I have to offer but they are yours until your son recovers.

I will pray for him and your entire family. I hope they throw the book at the individual who did it. Hit and run is a cowardly vicious crime perpetrated by people who have no real humanity or they would have stopped to help.

Hopefully the person who is responsible will turn themself in, or someone else who may know the truth will.....may God bring swift healing to your son in every way.
