Anagrams: See What the Letters of Your Name Are Saying About You!

Angie Tabor
What is an anagram? It's a way of rearranging the letters in a word to form new words. For some people there is deeper meaning of the words that can be formed from the letters of their name. Many are finding that the words formed from their full names often form words that have a striking significance in their lives. Some even believe the words are prophecies of things to come. For example, words that can come from the name Madison Aleena Skye are: lemonade, noisy, annoy, seek, sandal, daisy, soaked and monkey to name a few. To Madison Aleena Skye these words may have a very big meaning or impact in her life. She may detest lemonade or meet the love of her life while drinking it, she may have an allergic reaction to daisies or maybe they'll be symbolic to her, she may seek truth all her life or feel like she's always looking for something.

It kind of makes sense, our names are very much who we are. From birth we have to live the rest of our lives with the tags our parents gave us, love it or hate it. Of course, the exception would be those who hide under a pen name or stage name. Would Cary Grant's heart throb image and film career have taken off the same way if he used his real name Archibald Leach, a name that sounds more villainous than swoony leading man? Would we have jammed out to Farrokh Bulsara the same way if he hadn't change his name to Freddy Mercury? If our names mean something, shouldn't the words that are created within them mean something as well?

What's even more unique is when the words arranged from the letters of a name create a statement, a full word, a sentence or more.

Some famous anagrams

Britney Spears = presbyterian

Clint Eastwood = old west action.

Madonna Louise Ciccone = occasional nude income.

George W. Bush = he grew bogus.

George Bush = he bugs Gore.

Princess Diana = ends in car spin; and ascend (n) Paris.

Elvis = lives. (We have to admit in many ways he has.)

Even common words can be a lot of fun and have strangely related anagrams.

Some other fun anagrams

The country side = no city dust here.

The eyes = they see.

Mother-n-law = woman Hitler.

Western Union = no wire unsent.

Astronomer = moon starer.

School master = the classroom.

Debit card = bad credit.

Anagrams may not be predictions and may not mean a thing but they are a lot of fun. Try them for yourself and see what kinds of words you can come up with. Ask yourself if they mean anything to you. Have fun, you never know what you might discover.
