Analizing Art

Harold Dean Sink
The shadowoing blackness
Against the white brightness
Defines the shapes that are
Allowing us to discern from
What is near and
What is far.
Blues and greens,
Brownds and reds,
Clear up the landscape
Within our heads.
Yellows and oranges,
Purples and lavender,
Aid our eyes
As over the painting
They do wander.
Rectangular or oval,
Circular or Square,
A frame that encirlces
Its painting beyond there.
We are in awe of its beauty,
And the one who made it.
The brilliance of any painting
Can be quite the antagonistic.
The beauty of an artist's mind
On canvas stand the tests of time.
