Each Anantara Resort brings its own luxurious and lavish experience. That is possibly why the name Anantara was used to describe these resorts as it's meaning is "without end".
Whether your chosen Anantara resort is found at the seaside of Hua Hin, within the unspoiled beauty of Si Kao, or in the verdant mountains of the Golden Triangle you will find that it will harmoniously blend in with the local environment.
The Anantara Resorts came into being in 2001 in Thailand. The resort was located in the historic seaside resort enclave of Hua Hin. It is here that the company first took on the challenge of bringing its guests as close as possible to Thailand's rich history and culture.
Each guest was surrounded in the atmosphere of a traditional Thai village even though they were a mere 14 miles from bustling Bangkok.
The resort was based on 14 acres where you could relax in the lush seaside gardens along the Gulf of Siam or partake in cooking courses and enjoy the weekly onsite floating market.
This first Anantara Resort was such a success, as it is still, that the company added more to their itineries and the rest is history.
Each Anantara Resort offers its guests a spectacular service and plenty of pampering along with activities that are uniquely associated with the particular area that you are staying. Which brings us back to the Anantara Resort Golden Triangle.
At this particular resort you can interact with elephants. These elephants are elephants that have been rescued from the city streets. And should you feel a little ambitious then you can learn to 'drive' the elephants just like their care- givers.
Needless to say the accommodations to be found at an Anantara Resort are without parallel.
At the Naladhu property in the Maldives there are 19 secluded houses that front the Indian Ocean. Guests have a choice of a house with direct access to the beach or enjoy private views of the cerulean sea from the swinging daybed.
Which ever you choose you will find that your house comes fully equipped with a "house master", your own personal concierge.
The two newest Anantara Resorts both be found in Abu Dhabi, the Anantara Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort and the Anantara Desert Islands Resort and Spa.
At the Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort, located at Liwa Desert, you can take the opportunity to ride off into the desert on a camel, partake of falconry or sand board whilst at the Desert Islands Resort you can go on a desert safari, kayak in the mangroves or hike in the wadis.
It should be mentioned that the Desert islands Resort is located on Sir Bani Yas Island, which is the Royal Nature Reserve, which was established by the late ruler and found of the United Arab Emirates.
If you are looking for an experience which is like no other, one with exoticism, serenity and indigenous charm then you should look no further than Anantara Resorts.
