A Poem for Both Our Ancestors and Those Who Keep Them Alive

Marsha Coles

Somewhere their history is perching,
In books left behind,
For us to surely find.

But elusive our people seem,
For whatever reason they deem,
Yet giving up s not a choice,
You will hear in my voice.
