I am a little bit embarrassed to say that until recently I didn't own a glass two-cup measuring cup. I really have no excuse for not getting one other than the fact that I do my best to avoid buying something unless I absolutely need to get it. Now one could argue whether or not I needed to get a glass two-cup glass measuring cup, since I didn't have one but I did have a plastic one cup measuring cup so I continued to not get one. However when my birthday was approaching I was asked to compile a list of things I would like to have to give to my family members some gift ideas. The list was of four or five items and one of these items was a two-cup glass measuring cup. As a result one of my birthday presents was an Anchor Hocking Company Two-Cup Glass Measuring Cup, here is what I thought about it.

When I opened the present that contained this two-cup glass measuring cup I had a feeling that I knew what it was going to be because of how heavy the present was. I was glad about this because it meant that the cup was going to be well built. When I unwrapped the gift completely I was even more happy because I noticed the brand. Anchor Hocking Company glassware is made in the U.S.A. and they are an environmentally conscience company. They reclaim on average twenty-five percent of their waste glass to reuse in their furnaces. This reduces landfill waste, using less energy and means that fewer raw materials are used in their glassware. Also their glass does not contain lead or other harmful chemicals. All around I was excited about the Anchor Hocking Company Two-Cup Glass Measuring Cup.

The two-cup glass measuring cup had a sticker on the side so I was a little concerned that it would be hard to initially wash and possibly loosen the sticker. Before doing any such thing I decided to try and just pull the sticker off hopeful that it would leave minimal paper and glue. To my surprise the sticker completely came off and all of its glue with little effort. Washing the Anchor Hocking Company Two-Cup Glass Measuring Cup would be very easy. While giving the glass measuring cup a good wash I noticed the measurements that it had.

The following measurements are what the cup was labeled with. Four, eight, twelve and sixteen ounces, half a cup, two-thirds of a cup, three-fourths of a cup, one cup, one and one-fourth cup, one and one-third cup, one and a half cup, one and two-thirds cup, one and three-fourths cup, two cups, half a quart, one hundred, two hundred, three hundred, four hundred and five hundred milliliters are the measurements that you can find on the Anchor Hocking Company Two-Cup Glass Measuring Cup. About the only measurements that I might need to use that I can't get with this cup is one-third of a cup but I don't mind at all though. I am very happy about all of the measurements that it has.

In addition to using the Anchor Hocking Company Two-Cup Glass Measuring Cup for more than just measuring out liquids and solids it can actually be placed in the oven. I do not know when I will be using the glass measuring cup in the oven but I am glad that I have that option. I don't have a microwave but this glass measuring cup can be used in the microwave as well. From what I found online the item cost about four dollars. All around I am very happy with this glass measuring cup and I intend on using it for a very long time and I would recommend for anyone to get one.
