Despite how technologically advanced the United States is when it comes to creating new and better treatments for certain health issues, there are still some remaining medical conditions that remain difficult to treat. Because of incomplete or improper treatments of certain ailments, many people choose to turn to alternative medication. Alternative medicine is not intended to replace western medicine, but to compliment it instead. Many people rely on alternative therapies like acupuncture, Reiki, and more in order to provide relief from many different ailments and symptoms. What people may not be aware of is that there are many ancient health secrets from around the world that could possibly induce even further and/or faster relief, and some of these secrets are highlighted in this article.

Eat Grass-fed Bison (or similar meats) - It may be almost impossible to obtain grass-fed bison, but any grass-fed meat will do. We can thank the ancient American Indians for sharing the secrets of their diet, which helped them to ward off certain ailments as well as grow to their maximum height, unlike Americans, whose height may sometimes be stunned due to insufficient vitamins and minerals. Grass-fed animals contain nearly double the amount of Omega 3 fatty acids, which is often lacking in the American diet due to Omega 6 fatty acid overload. American Indians also obtained their recommended vitamins and minerals by eating wild berries, including juneberries, chokecherries, plums, strawberries, elderberries and currants. These wild berries provided higher levels of antioxidants, which are essential when it comes to ridding the body of free radicals. By eliminating free radicals, American Indian's lessened their chances of developing cancer in addition to other conditions. If you are interested in duplicating the American Indian's consumption of these wonder fruits, you may be able to reap similar benefits by eating organic berries and fruits instead, since wild berries may not be as easy to find as they were for the Indians.

Chinese Moxibustion - Chinese Moxibustion is simply acupuncture with the addition of fire, for better results. You can refer to your local yellow pages to find a practitioner who practices this ancient healing method, but you may have to travel outside your local area in order to find a reputable practitioner. Even a visit to China may be necessary, if you are willing and able.

Essential Oils - It has been proven throughout the centuries that the use of various essential oils is a great way to promote natural healing in the body by using aromatherapy. Aromatherapy promotes healing in the body by inhalation of certain herbs that are in oil form, such as lavender, peppermint, citrus, and many more.

Internal Body Cleansing - Originating from ancient India, there are six cleansing methods that have been used for years in order to promote wellness and healing within the body. Neti, Vasti, Variasar, Tratakum, Kapalabhati and Hrid Dhauti and Danta Dhauti. These cleansing methods focus on cleansing various parts of the body, including the nasal passages, the tongue, the eyes, the stomach and more, and are said to promote good health and relieve certain ailments.
